OmNomNom Get in My Belly!!

Crepes crepes, lovely breakfast crepes.

I made them! And they turned out quite well as a matter of fact! I need to adjust how much margarine I used in the pan because it gave the crepes a slightly buttery flavor. I was afraid they would stick to the pan and burn. My professor offered to allow me to use his crepe pan. I will be using that Monday morning in preparation for my presentation. Here are some pictures from my first crepe adventure:

Flour, vanilla, milk, sugar, baking powder in a happy little bowl.

Adding the eggs to the mixture, mixing it up, and preparing to cook!

One successful crepe to the right and one cooking in the pan!

Bananas and Nutella all in a row.

Finished product, with a bit of powdered sugar on top.

Do they look good to you? I hope so! You should definitely try to make these. They are very easy, as easy as pancakes. They taste delicious and the recipes makes about 8 crepes. Enjoy!

Recipe Shmecipe

Hello Fellow Food Lovers!

I have done it! Yes! I have found the crepe recipe that I will be using (see below).

Why am I using the most basic crepe recipe? Very good question! Crepes all have the same base. Regardless of what happy-goodness you fill them with, the pancake-like wrap is essentially the same. This recipe will allow me to change the filling easily. I found several recipes that had unique filling recipes but since I'm just starting of my cooking adventure, I thought the more basic recipe would be best. I will be filling my crepes with bananas and nutella and will perhaps put some powdered sugar on top. Sound yummy? Well I hope they turn out well. Next time I will hopefully have pictures of my own tasty creation!
